On 8th of March 2010 the people around the globe witnessed the 100th International Women’s Day. THDC INDIA LIMITED celebrated the day of pride of Women with a Conference on the topic “To outshine in Workplace by striking a balance between Personal & Professional Life. The Program was inaugurated by Sh. S.K. Biswas, GM P&A, THDCIL by lighting the lamp. To deliver a lecture and create awareness amongst the women employees of the organization Resource Persons and Experts on the subject Dr. Ms. Savita Mohan, Director Bhasha Sansthan, Uttarakhand and Dr. Ms. Kusum Nautiyal, Member, Uttarakhand Police Complaint Authority were invited to shed light, broaden and narrate their knowledge on the subject.All women employees of the Corporate Office, Rishikesh and Dehradun Office participated in the open discussion forum.
The discussion envolved every aspect of women from personal life to professional life, Women Reservation Bill and “Believe and Explore Yourself” being the most discussed topics .The participants came up with their views and ideas which were heartily welcomed and appreciated by the dignitaries. While the Discussions, Dr. Savita Mohan and Dr. Kusum Nautiyal emphasized on a healthy mind with healthy body to be the key factor in making a balance between a personal and professional front. All the participants hailed the THDCIL Management for the welfare initiatives taken for the women Employees.
