Sh. D.V.Singh has taken over the charge of Director (Technical) of THDC India Ltd. on 12.05.2010. A first class civil Engineer from of NIT Rourkela with honours, Sh. Singh was taken from campus by L&T in 1983 where from he looked after the construction and planning of projects of the companies like NTPC, Indo Gulf Fertilizers and SCOPE uptil 1992 and contributed in a big way in the completion of the said projects.
He joined THDC in 1992 and before taking over the responsibilities of the Director (Tech.), he worked as Addl. General Manager and was vested with special necessary powers to work as Chief Project Officer of the prestigious Koteshwar Hydro Electric Project (KHEP) (4X100MW) since March, 07. He took the challenge to put on track the work of ailing KHEP with additional powers for this special assignment, with the result that the Koteshwar Hydro Electric Project will be commissioned by Dec'2010. Prior to this, he worked as Dy. General Manager at Tehri Power House In-charge for entire civil works from April 04 to April 07 where he also dealt with construction & planning of Power House of Tehri HPP (4X250 MW) till the commissioning of this World famous Dam. He also contributed in construction & planning of Power House & Spillway of Tehri Project and its associated jobs like Contracts & Material Management & construction of building & roads.
Sh. Singh was also chosen by THDC to attend seminar on Hydro Vision 2008 at California (USA) and also attended an exhaustive training in Designing Dams, Power Houses & Civil Works conducted by Hydro Project Institute, Moscow, Russia. He has senior level experience of management in THDC as he dealt with Planning, Designing & Construction of Hydro Electric Projects.
