THDC India limited, a Mini Ratna, Schedule ‘A’ CPSE has tied up Euro denominated borrowings for its 1,000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Project. Loan Agreement for the Export Credit of Euro 83 million backed by Coface, Export Credit Agency of France was signed on 5th February, 2015 between THDCIL and French Bank, Societe Generale, Paris.
The loan agreement was signed by Sh. Deepak Sarwal, Executive Director, on the behalf of THDCIL and Ms Evelyne Collin & Darryl Netto on behalf of Societe Generale, Paris. The agreement was signed in the presence of Sh. R.S.T. Sai, Chairman & Managing Director, THDCIL, Sh. Sridhar Patra, Director (Finance), THDCIL and other officers of THDCIL and Societe Generale. Shri Anoop Krishnan, GM, SBI, and Senior officers from SBI led consortium, who are financing the domestic debt portion of Rs. 1500 cr., for the Tehri Pumped Storage Project, were also present.
THDCIL is one of the premier hydro power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1400 MW with commissioning of Tehri & Koteshwar Dam to its credit and is bestowed with 'Mini Ratna-Category-I & Schedule 'A' Status. THDCIL also has plans to increase its installed capacity to 2424 MW by the end of XIII th Plan.
